Welcome to The Birdgardener Website homepage.
Sorry there is little content, for the moment but we are working on that.
Put another way. This is going to be a website about bird conservation. Any birds, anywhere. Hopefully in your garden, where you and your family and friends can best see them and get to know and love and appreciate them. To that end, this is the birds website or more realistically this is your website.
Because I want this to be your website. I want you to use it as your website. I would like people who are not bloggers but firstly bird lovers and (hopefully gardeners too), to post their blogs, their photos, their ideas. Your blog, your photos, your ideas and your bird stories. Full credit going to you or anonymously – your call.
Now I hope you have more ideas about the mechanics of how to do this than I do at this moment in time. But I/we need to learn pretty damn fast.
Where I live, I heard one cuckoo this spring and saw maybe half a dozen swallows. The hedgerows have all but gone and most agricultural land is a bird dessert. The only oases where some bird species are truely thriving is the garden. That is the battleground and if we don’t want “Silent Spring” we are warriors in a battle we cant afford to lose.
